Yesterday, the San Jose Police Department reported a rapid response to a harrowing situation that unfolded at a local high school. A 15-year-old student disclosed to school officials that she had been kidnapped and sexually assaulted on her way to school. The San Jose Police Department, as reported on their official social media page, swiftly enacted a coordinated operation to track down the suspect.
Upon the victim's return and report of the incident to her high school, detectives from the Sexual Assault Investigations Unit were immediately dispatched. The San Jose Police Department's Real Time Intelligence Center then utilized their license plate recognition database to nab a possible suspect, a feat accomplished with the help of the Air Support Unit.
Patrol officers, after spotting the suspect vehicle in South San Jose, made a high-risk vehicle stop, arresting the suspect without any incident.
