Firefighters conducted a primary search and extinguished the fire, preventing damage to both the mailbox and a nearby birdhouse, according to a social media post by the department.
No injuries were reported, and neither the mailbox nor the birdhouse sustained any damage. Authorities also emphasized that even small fires can present hazards and should always be addressed promptly by trained professionals to ensure safety.
The fire department reported that the fire was contained and did not affect any residences.
