As Mardi Gras season approaches, St. Charles Parish seniors are invited to embrace the festive spirit at the annual Krewe of G-Old Timers Mardi Gras Dance. Slated for February 12 at the Edward A. Dufresne Community Center, the event is a collaborative effort between the Council on Aging and the Department of Parks and Recreation, promising a day of music, dance, and celebration, as per the St. Charles Parish.
The dance, tailored for adults 55 and older, will feature the energetic sounds of Ryan Foret & Foret Tradition, known for getting attendees up and moving to the rhythm. According to the St. Charles Parish Government's announcement, the gymnasium doors will open at 10:30 a.m., with festivities taking place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., ensuring an afternoon filled with the vibrancy of Carnival Season.
Those wishing to partake in the Mardi Gras fun are encouraged to RSVP by February 9th, stated the St. Charles Parish Government website. They may secure their spot by calling 985-783-5090. In a move to provide accessibility for all community members, the Parish also offers transportation assistance that can be arranged by calling 985-783-6683.
