The Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis is partnering with the St. Louis Area Foodbank to host an MLK Food Giveaway on January 19 from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The drive-thru event will be held at the Urban League Regional Headquarters at 1408 N. Kingshighway Blvd. in St. Louis, according to the City of St. Louis Department of Health.
The event is intended to support families in the St. Louis area by providing food and essential items. Available supplies will include groceries, toiletries, masks, and personal protective equipment, and distribution will continue while supplies last.
The City of St. Louis Department of Health acknowledged several sponsors for supporting the event, including Schnucks, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Ameren Missouri, the Missouri Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. State Celebration Commission, and U.S. Bank.
