Public Service Announcement, We do not take Cash App or any other payment apps over the phone for bonds. If someone calls claiming to be a deputy and asks for money to release a loved one, it is a scam, according to the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office's Facebook post.

Unfortunately, two families have already been affected after sending money to scammers pretending to be law enforcement. Deputies do not call family members to make release deals, and we only accept cash, cashier’s checks, or major credit cards, as per the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office.

If you receive one of these calls, hang up and do not send money. Contact the Bond Office directly using the number listed on our official website to verify any information.
