City Hall just got a tech upgrade that'll make pre-travel prep less of a headache. They've installed a new self-service passport photo booth. Now, visitors and residents in need of that all-important travel ID picture can snag one without needing to set up a separate appointment or hunt down a professional.
Located near the City Clerk’s Office, where a range of other passport services are available, the automated booth is all about convenience. As reported by City, "Passport photos taken in the booth are biometrically checked to ensure they meet both domestic and international requirements." The nifty device even includes a card reader, accepting all major credit cards and tap-to-pay systems, making payment as smooth as the rest of the process. Getting your hands on these high-quality photos will set you back about $15.
Should you prefer to handle your renewals online, the photo booth offers an extra bit of convenience. For an additional $5, you can opt to have a digital copy of your passport photo emailed to you. For further details about the passport services available at Surprise City Hall, they’ve got you covered at surpriseaz.gov/Passport, or you can call the City Clerk’s Office at 623.222.1200.
