
Three individuals have been booked following a reported theft at a Lululemon store in San Mateo, according to the local police. According to a social media post from the San Mateo Police Department, the incident occurred on Wednesday, when officers responded to an in-progress theft at the athletic apparel retailer. The suspects were allegedly caught on camera stuffing merchandise into bags and attempting to leave without rendering payment.
Upon responding at around 1:04 PM, officers detained the suspects, Cameran Hicks, Shauntrise Hill, and Omar Mathis, as they exited the premises. They were found in possession of roughly $1,400 in Lululemon goods, which were not paid for. All three individuals, residents of San Francisco, now face charges of grand theft and conspiracy to commit a crime and have been booked into the San Mateo County Jail. Hicks, age 20; Hill, aka 31 years old; and Mathis, aged 25, were apprehended in a swift law enforcement operation to clamp down on retail theft in the area.
Charges against the accused include grand theft, under section 487 (A) PC, and conspiracy to commit a crime, designated as 182 (A) (1) under the Penal Code.
