A 14-year-old girl, identified as Allyson Torres, has died following an incident where she leaped from a moving vehicle on December 28, 2025, in Northeast El Paso. KTSM reported that El Paso Police responded to the 5700 block of Wren Avenue after 11 p.m. for a welfare check and discovered Torres with a severe laceration to the back of her head.
Emergency responders transported Torres to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. After battling for her life, Torres succumbed to her injuries on Saturday, January 3. Unfortunately, this tragedy has officially been recorded as the 62nd traffic fatality in El Paso for the year 2025, a slight decrease from 68 the previous year, according to police statements cited by KFOX-TV.
The vehicle in question, a 2011 Dodge Journey, was part of the preliminary findings by the El Paso Police’s Special Traffic Investigation unit. The details surrounding why Torres decided to jump remain under close examination by local authorities. KVIA notes that the original story emerged following a pedestrian crash in the same location on the morning after the incident.
