Charges have been filed in the aftermath of a tragic shooting that claimed the lives of three individuals at an East Oakland grocery store earlier this month. Alameda County District Attorney Ursula Jones Dickson announced the felony charges against two men, Darrell Tatmon, 40, and Angelo Lemelle Pharr, 37, for their alleged involvement in the January 3 shooting.

According to the Alameda County District Attorney's Office, Tatmon is facing three counts of murder, alongside charges related to firearm possession and ammunition by a convicted felon. Additionally, he is looking at potential sentencing enhancements for causing multiple murders, using a gun during the crime, and being out on bail on separate felony cases at the time of the shooting. A conviction could lead to a life sentence without the possibility of parole.

Pharr is charged with assault with a semiautomatic gun and firearm possession by a convicted felon as well. His charges are compounded by prior convictions and the allegation that he, too, was out on bail for a separate felony at the time of the incident. If found guilty of all his charges, Pharr faces a term of 25 years to life in state prison.
