
Two individuals are facing charges following an armed robbery in Violet, Louisiana, as per the latest social media update from the St. Bernard Parish Sheriff's Office. On January 19, law enforcement responded to an armed robbery report at a residence on Stacie Drive at roughly 5:30 p.m.
The victim, whose identity remains undisclosed, reported that three people he knew entered his home, with one of them pulling a firearm and demanding money before all suspects left in a silver Nissan Maxima, the Sheriff's Office reported. Arrests followed swiftly, as Deshawn Spencer, 24, and Perrion Bailey, 19, of the 2100 block of Allo Mumphrey Drive in Violet were apprehended on January 22 in connection with the incident. Spencer is facing multiple charges, including armed robbery, use of a firearm, and Bailey is booked with principal to armed robbery, according to a social media post.
Sheriff James Pohlmann addressed the public, declaring the incident an isolated event and reassuring them that no one was injured. "This was an isolated incident between acquaintances and no one was injured," the Sheriff stated. Meanwhile, the investigation by the St. Bernard Sheriff's Office is actively continuing, with a call for those with information regarding the case to step forward. During the same operation, Cody Jones, 43, also of Allo Mumphrey Drive, found himself on the wrong side of the law, having been booked on a separate charge not related to the robbery incident.
