The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) has recently celebrated the dedication and service of its employees, spanning from El Paso to Presidio. In a gesture of appreciation, TxDOT acknowledged a group of staff members for their longstanding commitment to the organization and the state of Texas.
As detailed in a social media post published by TxDOT's El Paso office, a total of 33 team members were recognized for amassing an impressive 445 years of combined service. "Today we recognized staff in various sections and roles from El Paso to Presidio for years of service at TxDOT. Congratulations, and thank you to all! We appreciate YOU!" according to the St. George Police Department, casting a spotlight on the individuals who form the backbone of the department's operations.
Within this cohort of honorees are employees who have devoted a decade or more to TxDOT, such as Gilberto Fragoso Jr. from the East Area Office and Sheetal Patel, P.E., who is a part of the Advanced Project Development. Other notable mentions included Rafael Gandara III from the District Survey HQ, recognized for 15 years of service, and Angelica Gonzalez of the Van Horn Maintenance, who has been with TxDOT for a quarter of a century.
While the celebratory post did include acknowledgments for most of the recognized staff, some individuals, like Fragoso, Patel, Gandara, and Gonzalez, were not pictured. TxDOT also seized the occasion to invite others to join the team, directing potential candidates to the open positions listed on their website.
