In an effort to ensure community involvement and readiness for the upcoming Ice Carnival, the City of University City has put out a call to business owners and volunteers. Participants are urged to come together for a Community Snow Removal event set to take place today from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. Check-in for those interested will be at Fitz's Root Beer, located at 6605 Delmar Blvd.
The City's initiative focuses on clearing the sidewalks to make way for one of the neighborhood’s most anticipated events. The social media post from City of University City, Missouri (Official) emphasized, "Join us for Community Snow Removal to help clear sidewalks ahead of the Ice Carnival." While the task might sound chilly, volunteers won't be left out in the cold. According to the same post, participants are promised free hot cocoa or Fitz's Root Beer in gratitude for their efforts. Nonetheless,, the organizers recommend that each volunteer “dress warmly and bring your shovels” as they tackle the snow-covered walkways.
University City is organizing a community snow-shoveling effort. Volunteers will receive free hot cocoa or Fitz's Root Beer for their participation.
