Earlier this month, Vallejo Police Department Patrol Division officers were called to a scene on Hilton Avenue due to a reported family disturbance involving a gun. After a heated argument, an adult male was said to have equipped himself with a firearm before destroying property and aiming the weapon at family members, according to a statement obtained by the Vallejo Police Department.
The incident, which took place on January 10, called for swift police intervention. Officers located the suspect in his car in front of the residence, attempting to leave the scene, and successfully conducted a felony stop. Despite repeated commands to exit the vehicle, the person refused, requiring officers to use controlled force to remove and detain him.
Further investigation led to the discovery of ammunition, and a search warrant allowed officers to locate the firearm, equipped with a high-capacity magazine. The man in question, already having a record including a firearm-related conviction, was consequently booked on multiple felony charges at the Solano County Jail.
