Shrewsbury residents witnessed an unusual disruption Monday afternoon when a vehicle tore through the serenity and the front lobby of the local Police Department headquarters. At exactly 2:02 PM, what seemed to be a routine day turned into a scene of abrupt chaos as a black 2022 BMW SUV came crashing into the building. The incident was confirmed in a social media post from the Shrewsbury Police Department.
The operator, who has been described as the sole occupant of the runaway vehicle, was promptly taken into custody following the crash. According to the police department’s statement, the individual was also transported to a local hospital to treat injuries sustained during the unexpected event. Remarkably, despite the potential for a graver outcome, no officers, staff, or bystanders were harmed due to the incident.
