
The Germantown Police Department reported a total of sixteen crimes from January 16 through January 22, including thefts, shoplifting, and unlawful possession of a firearm. Multiple arrests were made on Poplar Avenue, and personal property and equipment were also stolen from a carport, according to the City of Germantown.
Violent incidents included a physical altercation in a vehicle, an officer being struck with an object, and an attempted vehicle attack during a shoplifting arrest. The department also handled threatening messages and fraudulent credit card transactions during the week, as reported by the City of Germantown.
The Germantown Police Department reported 12 crashes and other criminal incidents during this period. They said officers are responding to these events and asked residents to report any suspicious activity to help keep the community safe, as stated by the City of Germantown.
