The entrepreneurs of West Palm Beach have a new opportunity to hone their public speaking skills, thanks to the city's latest educational initiative. The "Speak to Succeed: Public Speaking Mastery for Entrepreneurs" series is designed to give local business minds the oratory tools they need to pitch their ideas and communicate their value propositions effectively.

Starting in February, the four-week training series, a collaboration between the City of West Palm Beach and Roundtree Training & Consulting, LLC, will cover everything from the foundations of public speaking to a pitch practice and showcase. The free program is available to all, with a certificate of completion offered to those who attend at least three of the four sessions. Interested applicants can find registration details and sign up on the city's website.

The dual-format series, with in-person and virtual sessions, is geared to accommodate busy schedules. Each session, scheduled from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., aims to address a different aspect of public speaking. The in-person sessions, set to take place at Gaines Park Community Center, begin and conclude the program, adding a personal touch to the participants' learning experience.

Dr. Deeawn Roundtree, an experienced leadership coach and CEO of Roundtree Training & Consulting, LLC, will lead the series. Her expertise in executive leadership development and organizational growth is expected to provide a strong backbone to the workshop's curriculum. "This initiative reflects the City of West Palm Beach’s continued commitment to expanding access to opportunity, strengthening local businesses, and supporting small-business success," the city declared in an official statement.

For additional details about the sessions, such as dates and specific content, individuals can reach out to Sandra Hammerstein at the City's Office of Small Business Programs.
