The Westfield Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a recent armed robbery. According to a social media post by the department, the incident occurred yesterday at Cumberland Farms on Main Street around 2:20 AM.
The suspect is described as a stocky, light-skinned Hispanic male, standing between 5'6" and 5'7" tall and speaking with a Hispanic accent. Authorities noted that he appears to be right-handed. In the course of the robbery, the suspect wielded a firearm, but fortunately, the employee on duty was not injured.
Details from the police depict the suspect approaching on foot from the east, in the direction of Clinton Avenue. The department’s request emphasized the need for any video footage from the area which might capture the suspect's movements or identity.
