
Early this morning, Worcester Police apprehended a 43-year-old man following a car theft on Homestead Avenue. According to a social media post from the Worcester Police Department, at around 3:34 a.m., officers received a call about a stolen vehicle.
Responding to the scene, police were quick to locate the vehicle near Hammond and Main Streets. The suspect, identified as Michael Lobo, didn't resist and was detained on Silver Street, where, "he was ordered from the vehicle and placed into handcuffs," as stated by the Worcester Police Department's post. Surveillance footage later confirmed Lobo's involvement in the break-in of the aforementioned vehicle.
Charges against Lobo include Felony Breaking and Entering of a Vehicle, Larceny of a Motor Vehicle, Use of a Motor Vehicle without Authority, alongside other unspecified charges. The Worcester Police Department also reported that the stolen vehicle was successfully returned to its rightful owner.
