The Wright County Sheriff’s Office has released a report detailing arrests made in the period ending January 19, according to an official statement on their website. The compilation of arrest incidents spans a range of offenses, highlighting the varied nature of law enforcement’s daily challenges in Wright County. Arrests included charges from controlled substance violations to domestic assault, DWI, and child pornography possession. The data provided a snapshot of the law and order situation in the region, reflecting the ongoing efforts to address criminal activities.
Among those taken into custody was Kendall Laray Bennett, a 39-year-old from South Haven arrested in Buffalo on a Wright County warrant for 3rd Degree Controlled Substance. Notably, there were eight arrests related to driving while intoxicated (DWI), including a 32-year-old Delano resident, Peter Jeffrey Swenson, for 2nd Degree DWI, as per Wright County’s official statement. Also reported was the arrest of Jeremiah James Fischer, 40, in Buffalo on a Wright County warrant for possession of child pornography.
Driving violations constituted a significant portion of the week’s legal entanglements. Both Aaron David Clark, 30, from Rockford, and Angela Jo Williams, 47, from Montrose, were arrested on charges related to driving after cancellation and 5th Degree Controlled Substance, respectively. The report also included three hit-and-run accidents and three car-deer accidents, reflecting persistent traffic-related incidents in the county.
Traffic violations extended beyond DWI offenses, with arrests for underage liquor consumption, school bus stop arm violations, and miscellaneous traffic infractions totaling 83 tickets. The 19-year-old Wyatt Nicholas Groff of Delano was arrested in Delano for underage liquor consumption, an infraction that is all too common, as found in Wright County records, as reported by Wright County. Vehicle mishaps were reported as well, with 30 property damage accidents and 10 personal injury accidents, indicating the continual risk present on Wright County roads.
