
After months of investigation, Atlanta police have made an arrest in connection with a fatal shooting that claimed the life of an 18-year-old male on Fairburn Road last year. According to the Atlanta Police Department's official release, SWAT, Drone, Fugitive, and Homicide units, in coordination with the U.S. Secret Service, executed a search warrant and apprehended Willie Felder, born in July 2003, as the primary suspect in the June 30, 2025 homicide.
Mr. Felder is facing charges of Murder, Aggravated Assault, and Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony Felder has been processed at the Atlanta Police Public Safety Headquarters and is on his way to the Fulton County Jail, with one prior arrest cycle in Georgia for Simple Battery and Criminal Trespass, as reported by the Police Department. The arrest took place on Monday and marks progress in what has been a tragic narrative for the local community.
The original incident happened at 3390 Fairburn Road SW in Atlanta, where officers found the young victim at approximately 9:15PM with a gunshot wound on June 30, 2025. Though quickly transported to the hospital for emergency care, the male was pronounced deceased once there, prompting a thorough investigation by Atlanta's Homicide Unit. The arrest of Felder appears to be a breaking point in the case that has been active for over seven months.
