The Chelsea Police Department Drug Unit arrested 51-year-old Chelsea resident Ricardo Molina on Friday last week following a two-month investigation into alleged cocaine distribution in the city. Molina faces charges related to cocaine trafficking, firearm possession, and ammunition possession.
According to the Chelsea Police Department release, as part of the investigation, detectives obtained a search warrant for Molina’s residence on Marlborough Street through the Chelsea District Court. Evidence connected to the alleged offenses was recovered during the search. Molina was arrested and later arraigned at Chelsea District Court on Friday.
Chelsea Police stated that the investigation was conducted by members of the department’s Drug Unit. Police are continuing to ask members of the public to report suspected illegal activity.
