In a joint operation that highlights the ongoing battle against illegal narcotics in Boston, the Citywide Drug Control Unit, paired with the Everett Police Drug Control Unit, made a significant arrest in Dorchester last Thursday. Juan Romero, a 31-year-old resident of Dorchester, is now facing serious charges related to drug trafficking after authorities executed a warranted search on his Hamilton Street home. The Boston Police Department's news release details the raid, where officers found a mixture of Fentanyl and Crack Cocaine adding up to 31 grams, alongside drug paraphernalia and cash.
The crackdown didn't pull punches with the police recovering not just the drugs, including 8 grams of Fentanyl, 23 grams of Crack Cocaine but a digital scale, and roughly $1,634 in U.S. currency.
Romero is now at the center of legal proceedings, expected to answer for a cascade of charges, including Trafficking of Class B, and Possession with Intent to Distribute Class A, and Class B substances. His arraignment will take place at the Dorchester District Court.
