A new focacceria called The Daily Focaccia is heading for downtown West Palm Beach, bringing a straight-from-Italy vibe built on fresh, olive-oil glossed focaccia by the slice and Italian-style sandwiches made to order. The project comes from husband-and-wife team Fernanda Bruna and chef Erjon Musaj, who have already been test-driving their recipes at pop-ups around town. Owners say the counter-style spot will also pour organic wines and craft beers to match those carb-heavy creations.
According to WhatNow, The Daily Focaccia plans to open in a few months in a storefront on Evernia Street and will sell fresh focaccia either on its own or stuffed into sandwiches. Menu highlights the owners have teased include burrata, mortadella, prosciutto and shaved truffles, backed by a short drinks list. “We want to keep the sandwiches authentic, but elevate them for West Palm Beach,” Bruna said.
State business filings show the venture is already official. Records from the Florida Division of Corporations indicate THE DAILY FOCACCIA LLC was registered in September 2024, with Maria Fernanda Bruna listed as the registered agent. The documents list a principal address in Palm Springs, Florida, confirming the couple has set up a local business entity.
Pop-ups and menu testing
Bruna told WhatNow the team has already staged pop-ups at 123 Datura Bar & Kitchen, where their focaccia drew strong response from guests. 123 Datura is a downtown bar and kitchen known for rotating events and late-night service, with its hours and programming detailed on the venue’s website at 123 Datura. The pop-ups, the owners say, helped them dial in bread texture and sandwich builds before locking in a permanent home.
Where it fits in West Palm’s dining scene
The Daily Focaccia is arriving as the Palm Beaches continue to grow their culinary profile, with fresh Italian and Mediterranean spots and tourism-fueled restaurant projects stacking up in recent seasons. That momentum has been underscored by local tourism officials and industry roundups pointing to MICHELIN-recognized restaurants and new hotel-driven concepts across the county, signaling rising demand for chef-driven, quick-service formats. For a broader snapshot of those trends, see reporting from The Palm Beaches.
Bruna says the couple will announce an official opening date as the buildout moves along, and based on their pop-up strategy, a soft launch is likely before a full public debut. When it finally opens, diners can expect a tight, bread-forward menu built around high-quality ingredients and unfussy, straightforward pairings.
