Investigators say surveillance footage shows a person running toward the victim, then sprinting away from the scene at about 8:30 p.m. The man is described as an African American in his early to mid 20s with dreadlocks, and police say they still do not know who he is.

According to FOX 10 Phoenix, Goodyear police released surveillance clips that show the suspect first running toward and then away from the victim. The attack happened near North 152nd Drive and West Virginia Avenue, close to Rio Paseo Park, at about 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 5.
Some of the video shows the suspect clearly while the victim remains out of frame. Detectives hope someone will recognize the man’s build, running style, or hairstyle and help put a name to the face. For now, his identity remains unknown, and police say they are treating every bit of footage as potential evidence.
