TRAFFIC ALERT 3pm Update: The fire has been extinguished and all FD units have cleared the scene. Earlier, a grass fire was reported at I-12 Westbound near Mile Marker 65 in the Exit 65 area, according to the St. Tammany Parish Fire District # 4's Facebook post.
Fire crews worked quickly to contain the blaze and ensure the area was safe. The right lane and shoulder were blocked during the response, so drivers may still experience minor delays, as reported by the St. Tammany Parish Fire District # 4.
