Who will investigate
Per the City of Apache Junction, the case has been handed over to the East Valley Critical Incident Response Team, a multi-agency group that investigates officer-involved shootings and other critical-force encounters in the East Valley. The outside review process is designed to provide an independent look at the evidence and the actions taken by responding officers.

FOX 10 Phoenix quoted the Apache Junction Police Department saying, “Our thoughts are with the families and loved ones of those affected by this incident,” and reported that the East Valley Critical Incident Response Team will conduct an independent review. Authorities have not released any additional information.
