A man was rushed to the hospital in critical condition after gunfire erupted at a Whitehaven apartment complex Wednesday evening, authorities said. The shooting left residents shaken and drew a heavy Memphis police presence to the Mill Creek Apartments off Millbranch Road.
Officers were dispatched at about 6:36 p.m. to the 4600 block of Mill Stream Drive, where they found a male victim suffering from gunshot wounds, according to Action News 5. He was taken to a hospital in critical condition. The Memphis Police Department told the station it had no suspect information to release and said the investigation remains ongoing. Officials did not immediately release the victim's name or provide details about a possible motive.
