A gunman walked into a northwest Atlanta gas station, pointed a firearm at the clerk and walked out with roughly $6,000 in cash, according to police, who are now asking for the public’s help to track him down.
Atlanta officers say the hold-up happened Wednesday in the 1900 block of Moores Mill Road NW and that the entire encounter was caught on surveillance video that detectives have now released.
Surveillance Clip Shows Armed Heist
Investigators shared footage that shows a person entering the store, pulling a gun on the clerk and demanding cash before taking off with the money, according to FOX 5 Atlanta. Officers responded to the scene on Wednesday, and detectives with the Robbery Unit are asking anyone who recognizes the suspect to contact police.
Crime Stoppers Greater Atlanta says tipsters can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $5,000, according to the Atlanta Police Department’s Crime Stoppers page.
Gas Station Robberies Pile Up
The Moores Mill stickup is the latest in a string of armed robberies at Atlanta-area gas stations in recent months, a trend that has put clerks and small-business owners on edge. In one earlier case, a suspect stole about $3,500 from a Shell station on Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway in March 2025, WSB-TV reported.
