Gwinnett County deputies have detained a man identified as Keleeyus Maquareus Long on multiple violent offense charges, including a home invasion and cruelty to children. The arrest took place in Norcross on February 11, as reported by FOX5 Atlanta.
Long, now held at the Gwinnett County Jail without bond, faces a litany of charges, inclusive of aggravated assault, armed robbery, first-degree home invasion, three counts of rape, aggravated sodomy, false imprisonment, and third-degree cruelty to children; he is also wanted for theft by taking by South Fulton police, which adds weight to the series of alleged crimes and magnifies the gravity of his apprehension, though details on the incidents leading to these charges have not been disclosed by authorities.
A statement released by the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office and corroborated by WSB-TV noted that their Fugitive Unit effected the capture with assistance from the U.S. Marshals Service.
