
In a recent operation by Holyoke and Springfield Police Departments, two Holyoke women were apprehended and a variety of contraband was seized from a residence on Pearl Street, as reported on the Holyoke Police Department's official social media page. Holyoke Police Chief Brian Keenan highlighted the collaborative effort between the Holyoke Police Narcotics Bureau and Springfield Police Firearms Investigation Unit in the investigation and arrest of Angelique Tiwari and Aaliyah Dansereau on January 30.
The months-long investigation by Springfield Police Firearms Investigation Unit detectives culminated in obtaining a search warrant, and the subsequent raid conducted at approximately 10:15 a.m. Friday, led by Sergeant Michael Whelihan of the Holyoke Police and Lieutenant Jaime Bruno of the Springfield Police. Tiwari and Dansereau were detained during the search which yielded not only a loaded Ghost Gun and multiple high-capacity firearm magazines, but also five bags of marijuana, close to $500 in cash, and approximately 455 bags of suspected heroin/fentanyl mix.
According to the Holyoke Police Department's statement, Angelique Tiwari, age 25, faces multiple charges including possession with the intent to distribute Class A (Heroin/Fentanyl) and Class D (Marijuana) drugs, possession of unserialized firearm, and possession of ammunition without an FID card. Additionally, Tiwari is charged with the improper storage of a large capacity firearm and conspiracy to violate drug law.
Furthermore, Aaliyah Dansereau, 22, is similarly charged with possession and distribution of Class A and Class D drugs, also, with firearm offenses inclusive of possessing a firearm without an FID card and during the commission of a felony, possession of large capacity feeding devices, and in possession of an unserialized firearm. Both women face accusations of conspiracy to violate drug law, marking a significant operation against both illegal firearms and narcotics distribution in the region, and this remains as an on-going investigation.
