
Jacksonville city officials have announced that government offices and facilities will be closed on Monday, February 16, 2026, in observance of Presidents’ Day. Sites affected include City Hall at St. James, the Ed Ball Building, and the Duval County Courthouse.
The City of Jacksonville reported that all community and senior centers, Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Department gymnasiums, and the household hazardous waste facility will be closed. Garbage, recycling, and yard waste collection schedules will remain unchanged.
The 630-CITY Customer Service Center will be closed for the holiday, having closed tomorroq, and will reopen at 8 a.m. on February 17. Residents are encouraged to request city services online during the closure. The City Council will resume meetings on February 17, covering various committees and community matters.
For Presidents’ Day, Boone Park tennis centers will be open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Huguenot Memorial Park and Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park will be accessible to early ticket holders and annual pass holders. Visitors planning to camp should review visitor pass requirements and check-in times, according to a city statement.
All Jacksonville Public Library locations will be closed for Presidents’ Day and will resume regular hours the following day.
