Motorists in the Lake of the Ozarks area can expect disruptions next week as the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) replaces navigation lights on the U.S. Route 54 bridge over the Grand Glaize Arm. Lane reductions and ramp closures are scheduled during daylight hours on February 18-19, MoDOT reported.

On February 18, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., the right lane of the westbound Grand Glaize bridge will be closed, and the ramp from Osage Beach Parkway to westbound U.S. Route 54 will also be shut down. Drivers will need to use alternate routes, although the ramp from westbound U.S. Route 54 to Jefferies Road is expected to remain open.

On February 19, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., closures will shift to the eastbound side of the Grand Glaize bridge. The ramp from Osage Beach Parkway to eastbound U.S. Route 54 will be closed, requiring detours, while the ramp from eastbound U.S. Route 54 to Passover Road is expected to remain open.

All work is subject to weather conditions, and the schedule may be adjusted if necessary. MoDOT has urged drivers to buckle up, put your phone down, obey all traffic signs, and slow down and move over in work zones. Full project details are available on the agency’s website.
