A late-night shooting in Dallas yesterday left one person dead and another injured, according to police, sparking an active investigation as detectives work to track down whoever pulled the trigger.
Officers were called to the scene and found two people with gunshot wounds, WFAA reported. One of the victims later died, while the other was taken to a hospital for treatment. Police have not publicly released the victims' names or a possible motive, and no arrests have been announced as detectives process the scene.
Police Response and How to Help
Dallas police are asking anyone who might have information, video, or dash-cam footage related to the shooting to step forward. Tipsters can contact Crime Stoppers at 1-877-373-TIPS or use the department's tip line. The Dallas Police Department lists those numbers and additional ways to reach investigators, including options to submit tips anonymously. Any detail, even something that seems minor, could help detectives piece together what happened.
Investigation Ongoing
Investigators remained at the scene Tuesday night, collecting evidence and talking with witnesses as they tried to reconstruct the moments leading up to the gunfire, WFAA reported. Police have not released details about the victims' ages or identities and say the investigation is ongoing. Officials have said they will share more information as it becomes available.
