A late-night burst of gunfire in south St. Louis left a man fighting for his life yesterday, after a shooting along South Broadway in the Patch neighborhood. Officers responded just before midnight to the 4500 block of South Broadway, where they found the victim. Emergency crews rushed him to a hospital, and he was listed in critical condition. Police have not released his name, and it is not yet clear whether anyone has been arrested.

According to the KSDK report, the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department said officers were called to the scene just before midnight on Jan. 31.
