Neighbors Say Dunlap Corridor Has Become a Trouble Spot
The intersection at 7th Avenue and Dunlap and the broader Dunlap corridor have been the scene of other shootings, crashes and heavy police activity in recent months, according to neighborhood alerts compiled by local outlets. Coverage from FOX10 Phoenix and others has outlined a run of incidents in the area that residents say has stretched neighborhood safety resources.
In response, neighbors and community groups have been calling for more patrols and better lighting along several stretches of Dunlap, hoping to curb the kind of violence that played out again Sunday night.
Phoenix police say the investigation into the latest shooting is ongoing and are asking anyone with information to come forward. For additional details and any future updates, see reporting from ABC15 Arizona.
