
DeKalb County is once again the scene of gun violence, as police investigate a shooting that left one man with serious injuries. FOX5 Atlanta reports the incident happened last Saturday morning, around 10:17 a.m., in the 5000 block of Snapfinger Woods Drive. The DeKalb County Police Department was called to the scene following reports of a person shot.
Upon arrival, officers discovered the wounded man and arranged for his transport to a local hospital, where his injuries were described as serious. According to investigators, in a sequence that must have felt surreal to unsuspecting bystanders, multiple individuals entered the victim's vehicle shortly before the exchange of gunfire ensued, and quickly fled the scene after the shooting.
At this time, details on the suspects remain scarce. No descriptions have been issued, and the police are calling on the community for assistance in the case. WSBTV details that the confrontation apparently began at a local gas station where the suspects reportedly got into the victim's vehicle.
