
A late-morning shooting in Middletown turned deadly on Sunday, leaving one person dead and another in the hospital after gunfire on the 2100 block of Roosevelt Avenue, according to police.

The Middletown Police Department said it was called to the scene at about 11:58 a.m., according to WKRC. When officers arrived, they found two people suffering from gunshot wounds on Roosevelt Avenue.

“Upon arrival, officers located two victims suffering from gunshot wounds,” the Middletown Police Department wrote in a Facebook post. “One individual was pronounced deceased at the scene, and the other was transported to a nearby medical facility with serious injuries.” The department said officers were actively searching for a suspect.
