A late-night burst of violence near 8th and Huntingdon Streets in North Philadelphia left a 28-year-old man fighting for his life just after midnight Wednesday, authorities said.
Police reported the man suffered multiple gunshot wounds to his legs and may also have a stab wound to one leg. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he remains in critical condition. Investigators have not released his name.
According to 6abc, officers responded to the intersection shortly after midnight and immediately began canvassing the area for witnesses and surveillance footage. Detectives are reviewing video from nearby cameras as they work to identify a suspect and determine what sparked the attack.
