The New Orleans Office of Nighttime Economy is partnering with the Louisiana Department of Health to host harm reduction pop-ups for nightlife and hospitality workers on February 9 and February 10 in the Gallier Hall lobby. The events will provide free tools and information for emergency response, including naloxone, fentanyl test strips, and a limited supply of drink test strips, according to the Office of the Mayor.

"Harm reduction is a critical public health tool and an important part of keeping our nightlife workers, patrons, and communities safe," said Michael Ince, director of the Office of Nighttime Economy. The initiative aims to equip workers with essential resources as venues prepare for the busy parade season, as reported by the Office of the Mayor.

New Orleans will hold harm reduction pop-ups at Gallier Hall from noon to 4 p.m. on both days. The events will provide supplies, educational materials, and short sessions on how to use them. Louisiana Department of Health experts will be available to answer questions about overdose prevention and response in hospitality settings. The pop-ups are open to all nightlife and hospitality workers, and supplies will be given on a first-come, first-served basis.
