Seeking to alleviate parking headaches in Over-the-Rhine, the Cincinnati Center City Development Corp., or 3CDC, is launching a new valet service beginning February 13, aimed at offering downtown visitors a hassle-free parking experience seven days a week, FOX19 reports. The service, priced at a flat rate of $10, will allow patrons to enjoy the neighborhood's offerings without the usual circling for spaces.
The drop-off stations are strategically placed in the 1300 block of Vine Street—near key attractions like Imagination Alley, Five Kitchen & Bar, and Lucy Blue Pizza—and with the new service, visitors can drop their cars off at one of these stations, and, when they're ready to leave whether it's to head home or to another destination within the area they can simply text or call the valet team to have their vehicle brought to any location within the designated service boundary, this according to information obtained by The Cincinnati Enquirer.
"Our goal has always been to make Over-the-Rhine as welcoming and accessible as possible," Christy Samad, executive vice president of civic and commercial space activation at 3CDC, told WLWT. The organization emphasizes that its offering a reliable, affordable valet option every night of the week is an effort to add an amenity to the vibrant neighborhood.
The new service is not just limited to a stand, it creates a "Valet Service Area," which offers more flexibility for drivers in the bustling district, this also means that even if you wander a bit farther from where you dropped your vehicle, you won't have to trek back to a single point of return because the service is designed to bring your car directly to you, providing that it's within the service area, 3CDC has underscored in their approach to streamlining parking for visitors.
Valet parking will be available from 4 to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and from 4 to 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, fitting the neighborhood's most active hours and aiming to cater to the dining and entertainment crowd frequenting this historic part of Cincinnati.
