Downtown transit in Oklahoma City will be temporarily adjusted due to construction on the upcoming OKC New Arena. The OKC Streetcar will be out of service from Wednesday through Sunday next week. During this time, bus shuttles will replace streetcar service.
According to the City of Oklahoma City, street closures will affect one eastbound lane on Sheridan Avenue and one westbound lane on Reno Avenue. Detour signs will be posted to direct traffic. Shuttle buses will operate along the downtown loop approximately every 25 minutes and will stop at existing streetcar platforms, which will be clearly marked. Real-time tracking will not be available for the shuttle buses.
The Bricktown Loop will not operate during the service interruption. However, Thunder Game Day Bus Shuttles will continue to run during home games.
EMBARK will operate the shuttle buses during regular streetcar service hours. Residents can subscribe for updates regarding arena construction.
