Overnight gunfire rattled a Mesa apartment complex on Feb. 12, leaving one person shot and rushed to the hospital, according to police. The victim is expected to survive, authorities said.
Officers responded to the complex near Longmore and Southern Avenue in the early hours of Thursday and kept the area taped off into the morning as detectives worked the scene, FOX 10 Phoenix reported. The brief TV segment did not include any information about a possible suspect or word of any arrests.
Where it happened
The shooting was reported in the block surrounding Longmore and West Southern Avenue, a busy intersection lined with apartment buildings and retail strips. A property listing for units at the northwest corner of Longmore and Southern appears to match the complex description provided by police, according to Compass.
