Plaquemines Parish government buildings will be closed Monday next week, for Presidents Day and on Tuesday, for Mardi Gras. Offices will reopen Wednesday next week.
According to the Plaquemines Parish website, there will be no garbage pickup on Monday and Tuesday next week. The Belle Chasse and South Plaquemines compactor sites will also be closed, but trash bins will be placed outside the gates for public use.
Normal garbage collection will resume on the next scheduled pickup day after the two-day closure. Residents can check the parish’s official communication channels for additional updates.
