Charlotte-based insurtech startup ManageMy has landed a $45 million funding round and says it will double its Queen City headcount as it scales up product and commercial operations. The company says the fresh capital will speed work on AI-enabled underwriting and claims tools and help pay for more engineers, implementation specialists and customer-success staff.

Series B capital and backers

According to a company release via PR Newswire, the total raise includes $20 million tied to a recent Series B that was co-led by Ventura Capital and OCVC, the investment vehicle of Zilch co-founder Sean O’Connor, with additional support from BNF and other strategic partners. The Charlotte Business Journal reports that the round is set to fuel product development, deeper AI investment and hiring across North America, including more roles in Charlotte.

“This funding marks a major milestone for ManageMy,” CEO Stephen Collins said in the release shared via PR Newswire. The company says the investment is meant to help convert pilot wins into full-blown enterprise deployments by broadening product depth and strengthening go-to-market capacity.

Charlotte hiring plan

ManageMy told the Charlotte Business Journal it plans to double its Charlotte workforce to keep up with growing customer demand in the region. The company has not outlined a specific timeline or disclosed exactly how many new roles it expects to add, but local reporting indicates most of the jobs will be technical and customer-facing.

Why Charlotte?

Charlotte’s mix of fintech talent, big-company headquarters and a growing tech pipeline has drawn a steady stream of financial and insurance operations in recent years, according to the City of Charlotte. Regional reports point to job growth and corporate relocations that make the city an attractive home base for insurtech firms building out U.S. teams.

Product traction and next steps

ManageMy describes its platform as a no-code, AI-enabled orchestration layer that supports selling, servicing, underwriting and claims, and says it already works with enterprise carriers and broker groups. The startup has grown through product partnerships and the 2025 integration of ReMark’s North American business; for the company’s own description of its platform, see ManageMy.
