An early-morning ShotSpotter alert led Cincinnati police to a grim scene at the Villages at Roll Hill on Wednesday, where two people were found shot dead on the 2500 block of Sunnyhill Drive. Officers were dispatched just before 2 a.m., and emergency crews tried life-saving measures, but both victims were pronounced dead at the scene. The Cincinnati Police Department's Homicide Unit is handling the investigation, and officials had not released any suspect information at the time of the initial report.
Lt. Jerome Herring told FOX19 that officers responded after a ShotSpotter notification and arrived to find "two victims suffering from gunshot wounds." First responders attempted to save the victims, but both were declared dead at the scene as the case was turned over to homicide detectives. Authorities said there was no suspect information available during the early stages of the probe.
