Fort Worth police have released surveillance images of six men they say were involved in a brutal group beating in the Stockyards, a late-night attack that left one man seriously injured and a pack of suspects caught on camera heading into a nearby hotel moments later.
According to CBS News, the assault happened around 2 a.m. on Dec. 23 in the 140 block of East Exchange Avenue. Detectives say surveillance frames show several men surrounding a lone victim before the attack, then later walking into a hotel close to the scene. Investigators are asking anyone who recognizes the individuals to call Fort Worth police at (817) 392-4375 or Crime Stoppers at (817) 469-8477. The department released the images this week in hopes of shaking loose fresh leads in the stalled investigation.
What the photos show
The images, shared by the department and published by Fox 4 Dallas-Fort Worth, capture the men in multiple frames as they move through the Stockyards and walk toward the entrance of a hotel near Exchange Avenue. Police have not said whether staff at that hotel recorded additional video or whether any of the six have since been identified. For now, all six remain faces in grainy stills that detectives are betting someone in North Texas will recognize.

The Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District is a compact, tourism-heavy strip of bars, restaurants and shops that also hosts the world's twice-daily cattle drive, pulling big crowds onto Exchange Avenue, according to the Fort Worth Stockyards website. Police are asking anyone who was in the Stockyards around 2 a.m. on Dec. 23 to hold onto any photos or video from that night and contact the FWPD tip line at (817) 392-4375 or submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers at 817-469-8477, according to CBS News. Detectives say original files, complete with timestamps and unedited footage, are especially helpful when they are trying to reconstruct who was where and when.
Investigation ongoing
The Fort Worth Police Department says the case remains active and that no arrests or charges have been announced so far, Fox 4 Dallas-Fort Worth reported. Authorities are urging anyone with even a small piece of information about the six men or the attack to come forward.
