A routine stop at a South Dallas gas station turned into an emergency yesterday when a man was stabbed outside a Shamrock station and rushed to the hospital, authorities said.
The attack happened around 3:30 p.m. near the intersection of Corinth Street and South Cesar Chavez Boulevard, according to Dallas police. Officers responded to the scene and taped off the gas station's parking lot, where aerial images later showed patrol cars and investigators clustered around the pumps.
Police: Man Stabbed by Unknown Attacker, Rushed to Hospital
According to FOX 4 Dallas-Fort Worth, the Dallas Police Department said the victim was stabbed by an unknown suspect and taken to a hospital. The station reported the stabbing occurred at about 3:30 p.m. and that SKY 4's helicopter captured a crime scene spread across the Shamrock station's lot on Corinth Street.
Police have not shared any details about a possible motive, the circumstances leading up to the attack, or the victim's current condition, according to the station. As of now, the suspect has not been identified.
