
A quiet Friday afternoon in Springdale turned tense when a man robbed the KeyBank branch on Princeton Pike just before closing time, then vanished before officers arrived. Police say the suspect is still on the run, and they are turning to the public for help tracking him down.
According to WXIX, officers were called to the KeyBank in the 11000 block of Princeton Pike a little before 5 p.m., with investigators estimating the robbery occurred at about 4:58 p.m. The suspect reportedly took off in an unknown direction, and detectives are now canvassing nearby businesses for surveillance footage. KeyBank lists the branch at 11355 Princeton Pike.
Police Release Suspect Description
In a Springdale Police Department update, investigators describe the suspect as a Black man in his 50s, about 6 feet tall. He was last seen wearing a light brown or tan puffer-style jacket layered over a black hoodie, a tan beanie, sunglasses and teal winter gloves. The post also shares clear surveillance stills from inside the bank.
Police say tipsters can remain anonymous and are urging anyone who recognizes the man, his clothing or anything about his appearance to come forward.
