The Springfield Police Department has issued a plea to the public for assistance in locating 57-year-old Juan Nieves, who has been reported missing. According to their social media post, Nieves was last seen at approximately 5 p.m. yesterday in the vicinity of Manor Court and Allen Street.
While details are sparse, it is known that this is not the first time Nieves has disappeared; previous instances had him found near Canterbury Road. Faced with inclement weather conditions and given his medical vulnerabilities, authorities have classified him as a high-risk individual. The community's swift action could be critical in ensuring his safe return.
In efforts to widen the search, the Springfield Police have reached out via social media, urging anyone with information on Nieves's whereabouts to act without hesitation. The police statement encouraged immediate contact, advising, "If you see him or know his whereabouts, please call 9-1-1, Detectives at 413-787-6360 or our non-emergency line 413-787-6300."
