The St. Charles Parish Council will meet on March 2 at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the Courthouse, 15045 River Road in Hahnville. Council members will review agenda items related to parish infrastructure and elections, including budget adjustments and a proposed polling place change.
According to a St. Charles Parish news release, one item would reduce the contract amount for the Raw Water Intake Structure Access Bridge Pile Replacement project, resulting in savings of $2,370. Another proposed ordinance would amend the Code of Ordinances for Elections to establish a permanent polling place for Precinct 2-3.
The council will also consider a Professional Services Agreement with Principal Engineering, Inc. valued at more than $4.8 million for the West Bank Water Treatment Plant project. In addition, members are expected to discuss a $660,000 contract with Centric Gulf Coast, Inc. to construct sand volleyball courts. The meeting will be available for live viewing on Cox Cable Channel 6, SCP-TV, and via Facebook Live.
